  6. For personal use I travel to several different websites on a frequent basis. The first that I follow is Hawkeye Report (iowa.rivals.com) this is a site with a ton of information on Iowa Hawkeye athletics. The second site that I go to is ESPN (espn.go.com) which is the basic sports news site where I can follow my favorite teams. The last of the three is the site TT4T which has a variety of useful information for my teaching.

  7. I really like to use Twitter, specifically the app Tweet Deck for professional development. I follow a bunch of hashtags that I am always finding something useful from. I also use Youtube a ton and the website keepvid.com to download these videos to my machine. Lastly i use three websites The Gilder Lehrman Institute, the Avalon Project, and American Heritage to find resources for my students to read/access to "do" real history.

  8. I frequently use Twitter and follow several colleagues who post links to useful information. I also use two Websites that are useful for teaching research to students, NoodleTools.com which is a wonderful way for organizing information and sources for writing research papers or doing other types of research projects, and Turnitin.com which is the plagiarism/editing Website that the district subscribes to. Students submit papers to the Website so that they and I can see if they are providing documentation for similarity and enough original writing in the paper. It also has a corrections piece that teachers may use to help correct rough drafts for grammar and formatting errors.
For my personal use, I like Facebook for keeping up with family and friends and to promote the outreach committee that I chair at my church and inform followers of projects and concerning outreach ministries. I also use mlb and espn to feed my sports needs.
